Upon visiting the Art of Animation Resort it quickly became one of my favorite places on Walt Disney World property. The splendid color that fills this place, the attention detail and the familiar faces of beloved characters are what made it for me. A highlight of this resort is a long wall in the lobby the displays over 60 character renderings and sketches, showing them in order from creation to completion. Some of the characters are hardly recognizable as they are early versions that weren’t used in the actual films! I took the time to photograph each and every sketch on the wall. This Ariel one being my favorite.
